On Friday the 30th of Sept Ibex are holding a presention evening at Brixham Cricket Club.
This event is to celebrate the end of the Summer season and present the Kayak and Canoe awards achieved this summer |

I am organising a sea swim from Meadfoot beach Torquay to Fishcombe cove Brixham on sept11th and we are desperate for canoeists to accompany the 30 swimmers intending to swim, each one needs a canoeist to stay with them for the duration of the swim, We will gladly give a donation to the canoe club if you can help.The swim will start at 10 am and is to raise money for Swim Torquay, reg charity no 272712, the only 25 m public swimming pool in Torquay where thousands of children and adults have learnt to swim, but unfortunatly is at risk of closing due to lack of funds. Paddle fest 2011 has been postponed and is now being planed for Sunday the 4th of September 2011.

2011 courses start in May and will be held on Mon, Tue & Thur nights
Places are limited and are on a first come first serve bases.
Beginners courses
for anyone over the age of 11 who can swim over 50 metres and want to have a go at kayaking.
They start at 7.00pm finish about 9.00pm and are at the Ibex hut next to the Lifeboat station in Brixham.
Buoyancy aids, spray decks, kayaks and paddles are provided. Cost £26 + membership
Improvers courses
for anyone over the age of 11 who has completed the One Star Award or equivalent.
They start at 7.00pm finish about 9.00pm and are at the Ibex hut next to the Lifeboat station in Brixham.
Buoyancy aids, spray decks, kayaks and paddles are provided. Cost £38 + membership

Pool Sessions are coming to an end this Thursday.
So this is you last chance to practice your roll in the warm!
We have enjoyed a great season this year with all the pool boats being use every week.
Big thanks to all the pool staff and everyone else who has helped out.
